Es werden sowohl die Englischkompetenzen als auch die sachfachbezogenen Diskurskompetenzen der Probanden mittels hoch differenzierter Testbatterien erhoben und quantitativ-statistisch ausgewertet, wobei die Untersuchungen dem Design einer komparativen Studie folgen (d.h. es werden durchgehend die Leistungen von Schulern in Regelklassen und in bilingualen Zugen miteinander verglichen).
