Book Description: The third book in an epic six-volume, 3,000 page Trilogy, with achingly beautiful, thought-provoking, thoroughly unique and skillfully crafted collections of poetry, short stories, and romantic verse, that portray the heartfelt and truly profound endeavor as a timeless and deeply memorable wedding of Word and Art . . . A wing-swept journey through the Universe, beginning in the heart of a 'fallen angel' called Ever, as he wanders through the chances and circumstances of humanity, as he drifts within the vast emptiness of his abandonment and exile among the stars, along with all the far-reaching consequences his self-serving pursuit of an ideal has brought to bear upon all Creation, and especially upon his beloved Always, whose tears are the river of this tale . . . A journey that unfolds around his surrender to a spiritual awakening, and ends with his discovery and final embrace of a remarkably simple notion - when fools set out to find what they already possess, they discover only the follies of men . . . born of an ancient yet unremembered legend, a fairy's tale, old as rhyme and even Time itself, captured in the echoes of uncountable voices across the millennia, comes an achingly beautiful love story, wrapped in the mists and myths of a place called Avalon, and whispering of the mysteries and majesties of God . . . A thoroughly unique collection of short stories and lyrical prose, called DoveTales, that weave an amazing trilogy of dreams into the most vibrant threads of faith, courage, and devotion, which are all then so cleverly crafted to become a glorious tapestry of love, loss, and the triumph of love, again . . . as seen through the eyes of Angels, as they peer into the very hearts and souls of those who always seem to search for Glory, when all they really ever need, is Grace . . . And who might enjoy reading this story ? Demographically speaking, any female between the ages of 9 and 90; any male between those very same benchmarks who would like to get to know those females (who now have a remarkably heightened view of themselves after reading it, and a whole new set of standards for those males to measure up to) . . . anyone possessing even a small spark of spiritual insight or inclination, and would be open to considering a vastly simple concept of where they might fit in the grand scheme of things, and the quite attainable realities of their role within it . . . anyone possessing a sense of wonder, and a welcoming regard for a heavenly presence in their world, along with the acknowledgement and embrace of the more compassionate virtues such as patience, tolerance, acceptance and forgiveness, with all respect given to uplifting the human condition beyond measure . . . anyone seeking a remarkably different view of mankind, as it relates to womankind; a dramatically elevated concept regarding the Feminine Ideal and its divine or spiritual significance . . . that will turn all male-dominated religious biases and historically gender-centric portrayals of a woman's place, position or importance in the pantheon of God's cast of characters, on its collective head . . . anyone seeking inspirational, lyrical, romantic, or poetic verse or prose, and wishes to explore alternative expressions of inspired, enlightened, theological, or purpose-driven thought . . . are fully cognizant and accepting of a Christian paradigm of living, and believe that when our creative knowledge embraces our artistic desires, we can achieve global understanding . . .

Book Description: For centuries, the vow of obedience has been at the heart of religious life. With the renewal efforts of Vatican II, the vow has been dramatically restructured but not theologically re-envisioned. The Evolution of a Vow: Obedience as Decision Making in Communion addresses the changes in the vow and proposes a renewed theology that supports the living out of obedience in the twenty-first century. Obedience-in-communion, as a theological proposal, invites vowed religious to create a pattern of limitless listening that everywhere seeks the call of God to communion. Against the horizon of communion, obedience becomes the singular thread of grace by which vowed religious become who they are called to be.

Book Description: The ninth title in Jean Plaidy's hugely popular Plantagenet series memorably depicts the rise and fall of Edward ll. Edward the Second has been barbarously murdered in Berkeley Castle on the orders of his wife, Queen Isabella, and her lover Roger de Mortimer, and fifteen-year-old Edward the Third is now king. Young Edward has already met and fallen in love with Philippa of Hainault and, to prevent him enquiring into the details of his father's death, Isabella allows the marriage to take place. A son is born who goes on to become the famous Black Prince. While some suggest that Edward has a claim on the French throne, he is reluctant to pursue it, aware of the magnitude of such an undertaking. It is only when Robert of Artois arrives, bent on starting a war with France, that the king is provoked into action. When Robert presents Edward with a dead heron and compares him tauntingly to the timid bird, Edward vows to attack France, heralding the beginning of the Hundred Years' War. Here we see Edward in his greatness, victorious in war and leading his country to prosperity, and at his very weakest, fallen from glory and crippled by his scheming mistress.

Book Description: It is basically about a soldier and the memories of his life and how he became a soldier, and the experiences told in this book comprise a memoir, and you will go through chapters based on the three parts of the brain. The brain is one of the most mysterious things, and what I learned through the book process is that the brain triggers sorting actions, motions, feelings, and responses to the body. This book has themes of love, regret, enlightenment, being a brother’s keeper, political views from a soldier’s point of view, and war. The way it came to be was I grew up with a lot of veterans, had friends that went to war, as well as classmates, had letters written to me, e-mails sent to me, and I was going to enlist before a doctor explained his experience in working in military. So a lot of the information or material is based on what I lived through and learned. And what I learned is that the average soldier is told never to talk about feelings or emotions, just to react once he starts to feel he is dying. But what I found out is that a lot of their stories about how they became a soldier are similar. My book just points out from every side of a soldier: Why did you become a solider? And is it a better solution to war? And we all are human. All the collected stories create the events and the character of a soldier and his path to a rite of passage.

Book Description: "The Summa Theologica is the best-known work of Italian philosopher, scholar, and Dominican friar SAINT THOMAS AQUINAS (1225 1274), widely considered the Catholic Church s greatest theologian. Famously consulted (immediately after the Bible) on religious questions at the Council of Trent, Aquinas s masterpiece has been considered a summary of official Church philosophy ever since. Aquinas considers approximately 10,000 questions on Church doctrine covering the roles and nature of God, man, and Jesus, then lays out objections to Church teachings and systematically confronts each, using Biblical verses, theologians, and philosophers to bolster his arguments. In Volume III, Aquinas addresses: faith and heresy charity peace and war mercy, anger, and justice prayer truth and much more. This massive work of scholarship, spanning five volumes, addresses just about every possible query or argument that any believer or atheist could have, and remains essential, more than seven hundred years after it was written, for clergy, religious historians, and serious students of Catholic thought."
